How to Join the Academy Membership is open to all institutions of higher learning and other groups or organizations that offer patient simulation. The purpose of SIMS Medical Academy™ (SimsAcademy.info) is to foster the development and integration of patient simulation into health curriculum with the intent of improving patient care. There is no cost to become a member at this time. Each member institution is expected to contribute at least once each year of membership, one reviewed and approved patient scenario to the Academy library. Approved patient scenarios are available to all members for use in their facility. Members also receive technical support, space planning, advice on purchases of patient simulators and access to the "help line." The Academy is still forming and some features are in development.
